We had a great start to the New Year. Students have some brainstorming to do this weekend in regards to their media literacy project. Students are set to prepare an infomercial of a product they will dream up.

Students are encouraged to keep reading 15-20 minutes daily at home. While reading with individual students this week I have noticed a tendency to speed through punctuation without the appropriate pauses. This changes the context of the literature and will therefore be a goal for us to improve on. Also, students should be detectives while they read picking up clues about what is going to happen next!

In math, students have a worksheet on adding and subtracting decimals to complete for Monday. Students should review volume of triangular prisms as well.

Have a lovely weekend!
