I had a chance to read the students short stories. They all had wonderful story ideas. I was very entertained, that is for sure! Students are encouraged to read/listen to the feedback that I have inputted in both their original short story copy and the success criteria in the assessment folder in google drive.Often, I did not edit all of the work because there were some repeating mistakes. I would like students to review their work with a critical eye and see if they can pick up on some of their own mistakes based on the corrections made. For example, capitalization or punctuation. Overall, some areas of improvement are:

- use of quotations and punctuation

- using more descriptive language (adjectives) and painting a picture

- having a theme in mind

- following the elements of a story
